Evolve Vacation Rental Pre Launch

 

We’re not sure how it happened, but suddenly it’s late September, we’ve been live for just over a month and we have been criminally negligent when it comes to updating our blog.  We’ll try to bring you up to speed.

Let’s address the criminally negligent part first.  Mea culpa.  We want this to be a forum to discuss the vacation rental industry, particularly from the homeowner’s perspective, but that’s not going to happen unless we are encouraging the conversation by posting regularly and sharing our latest thinking.  Our actions will speak louder than our words, so check back soon (or subscribe via email or RSS) and we’ll show you how committed we are to that conversation.

OK, so if we weren’t publishing staggering numbers of blog posts, what have we been up to?  Well…

After turning the site on, we teamed up with the Evolve faithful to promptly break and/or change just about every element of user experience.  We believe that this is a good thing.  In particular, we launched a redesigned look and feel throughout the site.  As usual, our goal was to make things simpler and more effective.  What do you think?  How can we continue to improve?

Also, our network of marketing partners is now up and running, including VRBO, HomeAway, FlipKey and TripAdvisor.  We are big fans of each of these sites and we’re proud to call them partners.  Importantly, this means that Evolve homeowners will see their listings promoted across this network, reaching tens of millions of travelers instantly.

Next up, we’ve been welcoming new Evolve homeowners almost every day.  There is nothing we enjoy more than watching new homeowners get excited about how we are changing vacation rental marketing and booking.  More importantly, we are learning a lot from each of them about what the market needs and how homeowners prefer to discover, learn about and, ultimately, join Evolve.

Lastly, we’ve seen quite a few travelers on the site and we’ve been consistently booking reservations.  We love how they have been putting our Traveler Support team to the test!

There’s much more afoot at Evolve, but we want to keep a few surprises up our sleeve for now.  What we’d really like to understand are the topics that matter to you the most and what you’d like to see us address on this blog.  What’s impacting your world as a vacation rental homeowner and/or traveler?
